Treasure Troves Of Flooring Information

How can you find valuable flooring information? Google! O.K., but once you get to a website, how do you dig into the information that is there? After you land on a website which you anticipate will provide you the information you are looking for, the five main options for accessing that information are the Main Navigation Menu, the Search Tool, the list of Recent Posts (if a website includes blog entries), the Sitemap and the List of Web Pages.

OAK & STONE FLOORS includes all five of these options on the website. The OAK & STONE main navigation menu is represented by the horizontal, transparent bar at the top of pages where you will find links to pages and blog posts. On some mobile devices such as smaller mobile phones, the main navigation menu will be placed at the top of the page it will be represented simply by the word, “Menu”. Clicking on “Menu” opens up a blank page with a a dropdown list of menu options. Scrolling up and down the list of menu items reveals pages one can visit as well as more drop down menu options, leading to more pages to visit.

“Marco!”… “Polo!”… The Search Is On

Many may remember playing the youthful swimming pool game of Marco Polo. One poor soul is selected to be Marco. Marco closes their eyes and hollers out, “Marco!”. The other swimmers respond back, in unison, “Polo!”. Marco tries to zero in on a voice in the attempt to tag another swimmer, who if tagged, then becomes Marco. A fun game. If only searching for information on websites could be as much fun. Some websites will provide a Search Tool that, while not as enjoyable as playing Marco Polo, can streamline your efforts in seeking out information. OAK & STONE FLOORS does include a Search Tool on the website to assist visitors in finding information. The search tool is found in the upper, right hand corner of the web pages. You will see the search icon. Click on the search icon and the Search Tool text input field will pop up. You can type into the input field, any word or phrase related to the information you are looking for, and after you press “Enter” on our keyboard, the Search Tool will return to you a list of OAK & STONE pages that have some degree of information related to your search phrase.

The OAK & STONE FLOORS website also includes a Search Tool with its blog posts. On any blog entry, you will see in the upper right corner, a Search Tool in the narrow, right side column. Simply enter a word or phrase into the Search Tool box and it will return to you a list of both blog entries and web pages that include some degree of the information you are looking for.

Recent Posts – Blog

Websites that include blog entries will usually include a list, in a narrow column on the right or left side of a page, that lists the most recent blog posts. OAK & STONE FLOORS does include, with its array of standard web pages, blog post entries. On the OAK & STONE FLOORS blog, you will see the list of Recent Posts in the narrow column on the right side of blog posts. If one of the titles happens to include something related to the information you are looking for, you can click on it and see if the information is helpful.

Sitemap

Some people find Sitemaps a very helpful source of information. Sitemaps usually consist of a list of links to web pages and blog posts. Some sitemap links are more cryptic, or short, in terms of the length of the title in the link while others are more robust in wording. The OAK & STONES FLOORS sitemap usually provides more lengthy titles to its web pages and blog posts, so it can be helpful in many respects. If you go to the OAK & STONE FLOORS Sitemap, you could use your browsers search mechanism to search for a word or phrase among the list of Sitemap links.

You might be able to save time browsing for an OAK & STONE FLOORS page or blog post that contains the topic or the content you are looking for by searching on the Sitemap page, in your browser, with a specific word or phrase that is related to the content or the topic you desire to find. You can do so simply by using the keyboard shortcut.
